Studio HS Goes to Art Basel

It was a lot of work and definitely not enough partying but we did manage to squeeze in some time to check out some art in between events.  Here are our pick of some of our faves…


We really need to talk about…

Julianne Moore’s dress at the event we produced for Waterford crystal!  There’s only one word to describe it – MAJOR.


Studio HS Goes Gaga!

Objective: create a book signing that brought to life the contents of Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson.

Strategy: design a visual immersive experience that allowed Gaga’s fans outside of the venue to see the contents of the book, while her fans inside the venue could feel part of the frenzy outside.

Results: a book signing like no other, showcasing the contents of the book in a unique and original way in line with Gaga’s aesthetic. By using a state of the art translucent gel we were able to project the contents of the book onto the windows while allowing fans to see both sides of the experience.  All her little monsters had a full-on Gaga experience.


BonTon's US Launch of MAMBO

Objective: to launch Australian surf and streetwear brand, MAMBO in the US and introduce the U.S. editors to the brand.

Strategy: create a platform to showcase the iconic Australian brand and bring to life the culture, lifestyle and key brand message points: surf, skate, art, humor and music. To do this we transformed a raw studio into a Mambo street and beach scene and had Ryan Kwanten from True Blood host.  Guests viewed revolving fashion presentations as they were served tacos out of a vintage VW camper van,  hung out with local skate crews while they do tricks on a half-pipe, watched a live art battle of “Australia vs. the U.S.” between MAMBO’s signature artist and NY female graffiti artist Queen Andrea and were invited to design their own custom t-shirt at a live screen-printing station. To keep with the crescendo of energy throughout the night the event came to a close with an incredible live performance by the Ill Fits.

Results: over 250 fashion editors and downtown influencers were immersed in the brand, press features in 10 leading fashion publications, over 45 million media impressions.  Oh and the editor from Lucky magazine said “it’s the best fashion presentation I’ve been to in years – it’s so cool”.  



GREY GOOSE ENTERTAINMENT, Big Sean and Studio HS tear up Good Units!

Objective: launch Season 3 “RISING ICONS,” the acclaimed original series recognizing influential artists currently taking the music scene by storm

Strategy: create a platform to showcase the Season 3 Rising Icons.  To do this we transformed Good Units into a cool and contemporary on brand environment that provided the platform for guests to experience this year’s Rising Icons along with live performances by Future, Miguel and Big Sean.  Curate custom cocktails so the experience is not only musical one but a sensory one!

Results: over 650 urban influencers, killer live performances and press in all the right publications.  Oh and of course everyone got to sample custom GREY GOOSE cocktails all night long.
